Scalp Micropigmentation is the worlds fastest growing hair loss solution with many suggesting that can offer more of a guaranteed solution that other avenues such as FUT and FUE hair transplants.

The reason for this is simply because there is next to no downtime with this treatment as the areas of trauma are so small that healing is very quick when compared to that of transplant scars.

This treatment also generally takes place over 2-3 sessions which allows the technician to ‘layer’ the treatment creating ultra-realistic results by contrasting impressions and tones to create an almost 3D effect. You also will not have to wait 6-12 months before you are able to see the effects of this treatment as the results are instantaneous.

This treatment is highly cost effective when in comparison to the costs of surgery for FUE and FUT treatments which can become very costly when the cost is calculated by the amount of grafts that are required.

Scalp Micropigmentation is the process in which tiny amounts of pigment are tattooed into the scalp to make individual impressions to replicate the look of individual hair follicles. This treatment minimises the contrast between the hair and the scalp offering the perfect camouflage for those who may be suffering from issues such as Male Pattern Baldness (MPB) and Alopecia.

This treatment is also suitable for those with general thinning hair which may be a problem that may have arisen as a result of stress, chemotherapy or as a side effect of drugs/medications.

Our ability to treat those with no hair as well as general thinning is what allows our treatment to be adapted to both men and women as we can present a solution for those who would like to keep their hair.

This treatment is carried out in our clinic where you will be made to feel as comfortable as possible throughout this treatment. You will not be made to stay overnight or wait in our clinic several hours whilst we prepare parts of your treatment like you could expect from surgery.

We do request that after all the sessions of Scalp Micropigmentation have been completed, you do pop into us every 12-18 months as it is perfectly normal that around this time, you may require a single-session top-up treatment.

Price for this treatment: £500 per session

General hair loss

Total hair loss? No problem.

The scalp micropigmentation process is the replication of real shaven hair follicles, using tiny pigment deposits in the scalp. Unlike hair transplants, concealers, lotions and pills, scalp micropigmentation requires no remaining hair or ‘donor’ hair to produce a great result. This innovative hair loss treatment for men works even for clients with no hair left at all.

The best solution for modern men

If you’re losing your hair you’ve probably considered the alternatives, however hair transplant surgery, minoxidil lotions and DHT-blocking drugs simply don’t work for clients with little or no hair remaining. That leaves wearing a sweaty hair system, or choosing scalp micropigmentation, the modern and stylish treatment for men with moderate to advanced balding patterns.

Fast and safe treatment process

The scalp micropigmentation process typically requires 2-3 treatment sessions, each lasting around 2 hours, spaced about a week apart. This is to allow the pigments to ‘settle’ after each session for optimal results. There is no downtime, very little discomfort and the results are instantaneous

Undetectable results

When applied by a skilled practitioner, scalp micropigmentation is flawless and virtually undetectable. We have many clients who choose not to tell their friends and co-workers, simply because they don’t have to! When your treatment with Scalp Studio is complete, you’re ready to go. Just shave and moisturise your head every couple of days, and enjoy your low maintenance, more youthful appearance.

receding hairlines

Receding Hairline? No Problem

Most men first notice their hair loss when their frontal hairline starts to recede. Unfortunately by the time you reach this stage, you’ve already lost up to 50% of your original hair density. It’s a little too late to expect any real results from traditional minoxidil or finasteride-based solutions, and results from any hair transplant surgery are likely to be short-lived and will make matters more complicated as you continue to lose your hair. For men who want to hide their receding hairline, scalp micropigmentation is usually the most viable and effective solution available.

Does This Work With Longer Hair?

In some cases, the client has the option to keep their hair at a longer length and still hide their receding hairline. Ultimately it depends on the pattern of current hair loss. If density has been lost around the frontal hairline, but the actual position of the hairline is relatively unchanged, AND the client still has a reasonable amount of density in their crown area, then it is usually possible to apply scalp micropigmentation in a way that enables the client to keep their hair at its normal length without shaving.

How Can Scalp Micropigmentation Help?

By mapping where your original hairline used to be, and shaving your remaining hair, scalp micropigmentation restores the appearance of your original, natural hairline and blends seamlessly with your remaining hair for a flawless and undetectable finish.

Most men who want to hide their receding hairline also need further camouflage around their crown area, as this area is usually affected the most by a loss in overall hair density. A skilled practitioner can use scalp micropigmentation pigment deposits to replicate the density that has been lost to restore the appearance of a full head of shaven hair.

The Reality Of Alopecia Treatment.

Affecting men and women of all ages, alopecia is a challenging condition to live with as the symptoms are prominent and difficult to hide. Compounding the issue is a general lack of understanding of what causes alopecia in the first place, and the fact that despite the availability of a handful of ‘remedies’, there is still no cure on the horizon.

How Do People Cope With Alopecia?

Due to the unpredictable nature of this condition, some people endure alopecia for only a short period of time, while for others the symptoms can last a lifetime. Most sufferers try to hide their alopecia by wearing hats or wigs, although for less severe cases some people are able to style their hair differently to conceal the affected areas. Many people with alopecia, particularly adults, have no alternative but to learn to live with their altered appearance.

The Only Guarenteed Solutions

There are just two options for alopecia sufferers that are 100% guaranteed to work – wearing a hair system (a wig), or undergo scalp micropigmentation.Hair systems are a perfectly viable option, however their upkeep is expensive and the routine can be labourious. Users need two systems so one can be worn as the other is cleaned and renewed, specialist hairdressers are usually required, and the overall cost can run to several thousand pounds each year.

Does This Work For Alopecia Areata & Totalis?

Scalp micropigmentation is a very effective solution for the concealment of all alopecia symptoms, particularly among men who don’t mind shaving their remaining hair. Whether the symptoms are patchy hair loss (areata) or widespread balding (totalis), the treatment process can be adapted to suit the needs of the individual client. For women, the results are best when the hair has thinned in a ‘diffuse’ pattern but not lost entirely. transplant scarring

Do You Have A Scar Problem?

Hair transplant surgery is not without its risks. Unfortunately loss of hair continues after the procedure, and often exposes the scars created during surgery. Depending on the type of procedure you had, these could be ‘strip’ scars caused by FUT surgery, ‘dot’ scars resulting from FUE, or even ‘plug’ scars from historical procedures carried out before modern techniques took over. In many cases, the scars cause more anxiety to the client than losing their hair in the first place, leading many to regret having surgery at all.

What Hair Transplant Scars Can Be Hidden?

Generally speaking, scalp micropigmentation can be used to cover all head scars including FUT and FUE scars in the ‘donor’ area, and also any pitting, ‘plug’ or ‘cobblestone’ scars in the recipient area. We can even hide very aggressive scars after scalp reduction procedures, burns or neurosurgery.

Can Fresh Scars Be Treated

Very recent scars are difficult to camouflage as the tissue causes pigment deposits to rapidly fade or spread. As a general rule for the best results, scars must be at least 6-9 months old before they can be effectively treated using scalp micropigmentation.

What Level Of Concealment Is Possible?

How well we are able to hide your hair transplant scars depends on a number of factors, and it is important to note that scar camouflage is a highly individual and detailed process. The age, colour, texture, position and shape of your scars all determine how we approach your treatment, and the level of concealment we’re likely to achieve for you. As a general rule, most clients can expect a reduction in visibility from 70-90%. Please contact us for a free assessment of your specific needs.
